LOTTERY RULES

Revised for Lottery #5

All differences from the previous lottery rules are underlined

The Basics:
Cost $2 per week. Limit two numbers. Playing is optional.
Players picking two numbers must start with two and play both numbers until the end.
Any player entered in the Thursday night tournament game can buy a number.
Players will pick an available number/s from 1 to 100 and use that number/s every week.
All players will have contributed the same amount into the Lottery Pot. (see more below)
Players do not have to play every week but must make up for any weeks they didn't pay to start again.
Players who play and don't make up for missed games for 4 weeks are permanently out.
Only regular players may have another player pay their $2 if they can't make it to the game.
A regular player is defined as a player who has played 50% of the games in the last 6 weeks.
Any player may pay in advance if they know they will not be playing for a week or so.
No refunds if you stop playing.

Paying in advance:
This is a good idea if you aren't sure you will be at next weeks game.
Players may pay up to 10 weeks in advance.
Players don't have to be present to win.
If your number is drawn and you did not pay that week. You will not win.
But your chip will be returned to the container. And another non-winning chip will be removed.
If there is a winner any advance money paid will be refunded or credited to the next lottery.

More about all players will have contributed the same amount into the Lottery Pot.
Any player who started and missed a game/s would have to pay $2 per game missed to start again.
A new player who starts playing after the 1st week will have to pay $2 for each week missed.
Example 1: A player starting the 3rd week would pay $6 to start playing. Then $2 the next week.
Example 2: A player starting the 10th week would pay $20 to start playing. Then $2 the next week.

The Drawing will be during the 2nd break:
The 1st week a number will be drawn from a container of chips numbered 1 to 100.
Non winning chips will not be returned to the container. This increases the odds each week.
If no winner, the money will accumulate into next week's pot.

Odds of Winning:
With 15 players there would only be a 15% chance of a winner the 1st week.
So the pot should build for a few weeks. After 10 weeks the pot would be $300.
But each week the odds get slighty better and the pot gets larger.

If the pot gets over $500:
We will start drawing 2 numbers each week.
If the first number is not a winner we will draw a second number.

Players should be sure all information is put on the work sheet correctly.
